Nurse Approved is passionate about supporting and building the Nursing profession’s capacity for health care innovation. Working with us is an opportunity to access the expertise of nurses, contributing to healthcare innovation through their uniquely use-inspired perspectives.  We are committed to enabling nursings role in healthcare innovation commensurate with the profession's profound impact on healthcare delivery. 

 

As part of their passion and commitment to nurse innovators, the co-founders of Nurse Approved established the first and only membership organization for nurse innovators, SONSIEL. To grow future leadership capacity Nurse Approved partnered  with Johnson and Johnson and the Center for Creative Leadership to create the world's first fellowship for nurse innovation.

NANCY P. HANRAHAN
PHD RN FAAN

Dr. Hanrahan is a national thought leader. She graduated with a PhD from Boston College 2003
 and is a fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Center for Nurse Policy and
Outcomes. She studies innovative models of integrated physical and mental health care that
work for the nurse, the patient and the family. She has been an NIH and foundation funded
investigator since 2004. She also developed the innovation and entrepreneurship program at the
University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and Northeastern University School of Nursing.



Currently, she is a professor and the Executive Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the
University of Massachusetts-Boston. Dr. Hanrahan applies technology approaches to research
and practice. She believes that the expert knowledge of nurses could be better utilized to
cultivate a pragmatic approach to using technology for quality health care. The nurse of the
future will be competent with nursing practice, healthcare finance, technology, and knowledge
management using large data sources. She believes nurses capacity to manage the business side
of healthcare, innovation and entrepreneurship needs attention in this digital age.

NOAH HENDLER

Noah Hendler is a Nurse Practitioner, health care technologist and strategist  who helped pioneer value-based episodic care models initiating some of the nation’s first bundled payment programs.

 

He served on the front-lines in busy urban trauma centers, led clinical informatics, worked throughout post-acute settings and helped deliver new levels of transparency for both medication reconciliation and adherence.

 

He is a serial innovator and entrepreneur, with hybrid clinical-technical and business skills. Dedicated to redefining health care,

Noah advises early stage startups and  established providers and payers alike on innovating, building value and improving health outcomes. In his current clinical practice Noah provides primary and palliative care to chronically ill and home-bound adults.  

REBECCA LOVE

Rebecca Love has spearheaded Nurse Innovation. She created the first Nurse Hackathon and served as the first Director of the nation's first Institute for Nurse Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

 

A thought leader on Nurse innovation an entrepreneurship Rebecca is a sought after  international keynote speaker. She was the founder of hirenurses.com and is a recognized authority on staffing and recruiting nurses.  

 

Currently, she is President of the Society Of Nurse Entrepreneurs Innovators Leaders and Scientists (SONSIEL)  and Vice President for OptimizeRx, the only point-of-care focused platform on the market that links pharma, physicians, patients, payers, and pharmacies.

TRACEY DODENHOFF
CEO

With a personal mission to “Help Good People do Great Things with Innovation”, Tracey is a mission-focused entrepreneur dedicated to high impact solutions. Tracey’s background encompasses technology entrepreneurship, innovation leadership and venture investing. Over her career, Tracey has launched and invested in over two dozen startups, as well as partnering with ventures to accelerate the growth of new product initiatives across medical, consumer, software and industrial verticals. Tracey specializes in integrating innovative programming with technology, resulting in game changing collaborations across geographies and disciplines. She holds an MBA from Babson College, and MID from Pratt Institute and a BS from Rhode Island College. She is also the holder of several patents in medical device and software. Tracey is on the Steering Committee for MassMEDIC’s IGNITE venture program, and on the Board of Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s Community.

BRET SIARKOWSKI
CTO

Bret is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience initiating and leading technology companies in the design and application of innovative market-demanded solutions as well as creating new markets. His extensive experience spans the mobile, gaming, healthcare, software, semiconductor and electronics industries. Bret is the founder of multiple high impact companies, including CaseNET Inc. an enterprise care management healthcare software company. He also co-founded of AbleRoad, a community effort that connects people with disabilities, families, friends and caregivers with accessible places. In addition, Bret is also a founder of MedScience Ventures (MSV) and General Partner, an angel investor and serves on the Board for several technology companies. He holds a BSEE from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and an MSEE from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. He also is the holder of several patents that cover both software and hardware industries.
