To amplify our efforts and community, Nurse Approved founded the first and only membership organization for nurse innovators, SONSIEL. To grow future leadership capacity Nurse Approved partnered with Johnson and Johnson and the Center for Creative Leadership to create the world's first fellowship for nurse innovation.
Dr. Hanrahan is a national thought leader. She graduated with a PhD from Boston College 2003 and is a fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Center for Nurse Policy and Outcomes. She studies innovative models of integrated physical and mental health care that work for the nurse, the patient and the family. She has been an NIH and foundation funded investigator since 2004. She also developed the innovation and entrepreneurship program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and Northeastern University School of Nursing.
Currently, she is a professor and the Executive Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Dr. Hanrahan applies technology approaches to research and practice. She believes that the expert knowledge of nurses could be better utilized to cultivate a pragmatic approach to using technology for quality health care. The nurse of the future will be competent with nursing practice, healthcare finance, technology, and knowledge management using large data sources. She believes nurses capacity to manage the business side of healthcare, innovation and entrepreneurship needs attention in this digital age.
Noah Hendler is a Nurse Practitioner, health care technologist and strategist who helped pioneer value-based episodic care models initiating some of the nation’s first bundled payment programs.
He served on the front-lines in busy urban trauma centers, led clinical informatics, worked throughout post-acute settings and helped deliver new levels of transparency for both medication reconciliation and adherence.

Noah advises early stage startups and established providers and payers alike on innovating, building value and improving health outcomes. In his current clinical practice Noah provides primary and palliative care to chronically ill and home-bound adults.
Rebecca Love has spearheaded Nurse Innovation. She created the first Nurse Hackathon and served as the first Director of the nation's first Institute for Nurse Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
